When you shop at Treasure Bin, you are not just buying a product - you are very possibly supporting a community.  We buy our supplies from all over the world and try to source from companies who not only provide good quality items at value-for-money prices, but are supporting people who may otherwise be overlooked or ignored.

For example, we have just started buying craft supplies come from a Danish company with a strong policy of equal employment (15% of their staff have learning difficulties).

Many of our other suppliers are family-run organisations.

Most of our incense and fragranced items come from a UK company who deal only with fair-trade suppliers, and they have set up educational programmes in India for workers and/or their children. (Obviously, neither Treasure Bin nor our suppliers deal with anyone condoning child labour.)

Of course we also try to support the local community - unfortunately it is not often possible to source our supplies locally, but we do make an effort to donate to various charity fundraisers, as well as assisting local craftspeople with advice, etc.

And what else?  We use recycled and/or recyclable packaging whenever possible.  Our electricity is supplied by Airtricity (using wind turbines), and we make every effort throughout the working day to reduce our carbon footprint.

In short, we try to make the world a better place. What more could you ask for?!
